| Sam Sara Invitational rematch this weekend |

The margin of difference at the 2011 Sam Sara Invitational between
the host team champion Rummel Raiders and the Holy Cross Tigers was 7.5
points. The third place team was 140 points behind the Tigers. Rummel and Holy Cross will vie again this weekend during the 2012 Sam Sara Invitational. To date, sixteen teams are scheduled to participate in the event which will be held at Archbishop Rummel's gymnasium on Friday and Saturday. Other teams which may challenge for the title include the 2012 Division III state champion Brusly Panthers and the Fighting Irish of Grace King. Rummel is fresh off of a victory at last week's Trygg Memorial Tournament in which they had five individual champions. Holy Cross soundly defeated the Raiders in a dual meet on November 14th, but much of Rummel's first team was unable to participate due to illness and injuries. The two schools were close to full strength at a quad-meet at Fontainebleau on November 20th but did not square-off against each other. |
Four returning state champions are scheduled to compete. Wrestlers who could be among the top seeds in the tournament are presented in the table below:
