Ehret's Jack Fontenot is 11-3 on the season, placing third at the Trygg and winning the Griffin Opens. Marshal Hill of Parkview Baptist, a finalist at the Trygg, and Bryant Montero of St. Thomas More should challenge at 152 lbs.  At 160 lbs. Alex Martin of De la Salle has a victory this season over Trygg champion Brandon Briones of Grace King.  Blaze d'Aquin of Ehret was a finalist at the Trygg last week at 170 lbs.  Justin Frost of Riverdale was victorious against wrestlers from Holy Cross and Belle Chasse Wednesday night at 285 lbs.

Six returning state champions are in the field, one each from Divisions I and II and four from Division III:

When only 16 teams were entered, wrestling was to begin at 5 p.m. on Friday and 2 p.m. on Saturday. It is not known if the addition of the new teams will alter those times.

Seeding will be posted as soon as it becomes available.
