Editor: 03/23/13

Wartburg College is the NCAA's version of Louisiana's Division III Brusly High School.  On Monday, March 18th, the Knights won their third consecutive NCAA Division III national championship in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.  It was fifth in the last six years and 10th overall Division III championship.  They also won their 3rd consecutive NWCA D3 Duals title and 7 of the 11 duals championships since the tournament began in 2002.  Wartburg has won 21 consecutive Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference titles and currently holds a 165 match winning streak against conference opponents.

Located in Waverly, Iowa, Wartburg is regarded as one of the best liberal arts schools in the nation and has actively recruited wrestlers from Louisiana.  Although they were not starters of the Warburg championship team (yet), five New Orleans wrestlers are members of the Wartburg College team.
