Mr. Dan Fickel, national editor of USA Magazine, compiled a list of "Rankings of Nation's Best High School Wrestlers " by weight classes and school grades. Two Louisiana wrestlers were ranked in the top 30 and 16 were cited with "Special Mention" season's accomplishments. Mr. Fickel cited the following factors in compiling his rankings:

"Seven factors were considered in determining these rankings. They include: (1) accomplishments at the state high school championships (folkstyle); (2) National Junior Freestyle and Greco-Roman success; 3) Performances at prestigious regular season high school tournaments; (4) Super 32 Championships; (5) Cadet National Placement (6) NHSCA Championships; (7) Flo Nationals."

Applications must be submitted for consideration.
