Since 2000 Brother Martin has hosted the Trey Culotta Invitational in honor of former Crusader wrestler Trey Culotta.  The Trey Culotta Foundation was established to allow teams to participate in the event without paying registration fees. 

Thirteen programs make up this weekend's 2013 Culotta participants, including ones from Vestavia Hills of Alabama, Cushing High School of Oklahoma, Sam Houston High School of Tennessee (Germantown) and St. Thomas of Texas (Houston).

The names of individual wrestlers, their weight classes and the seeds have yet to be released, but some very possible LHSAA Division I and II state champions will be in the field of the nine Louisiana teams (The following list include major tournament winners so far this season and noteworthy others -  weight classes are based on previous events.  Without actual rosters some wrestlers may have been overlooked):

Vestavia Hills' Morgan Paugh (17-2 @ 152) placed third last season at 138 lbs. Dalton Campbell of Vestavia Hills won last season's Trey Culotta (Campbell has no record this season on TrackWrestling or NWCAonline).

St. Thomas features Andrew Munn (6-1 @ 126), a sophomore who placed second at The Woodlands, 8-7, to Comeaux's Connor Stampley.

No information was found on the teams from Cushing and Sam Houston.  Sam Houston hosts the Annual Blackhorse Invitational, an event Brother Martin regularly attends but which was cancelled this season due to inclement weather.

The competition on Friday consists of pool matches of five rounds each, the results of which will determine a wrestler's placement in the Saturday tournament brackets.

Weigh-ins on Friday are at 10 a.m. and wrestling is scheduled to start at 12:45 p.m.

Weigh-ins on Saturday are at 7:30 a.m. and wrestling is scheduled to start at 9 a.m.

The event finals are scheduled to begin at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
