Dutchtown's Mason Fereday started the match well enough for the Griffins with a 7-2 decision, but the Gators came back with falls by Jesse Breaud, Josh Averett and Clint Brownell.  Brandon Cowell stopped the bleeding with a hard fought 4-0 decision over sophomore Sage Nugent, which was followed by a major decision by Kaleb Faul and a fall by Luther Jones, putting the Griffins only two points behind St. Amant at 18-16.  But then the Griffins gave up 18 points via forfeits at 170, 182 and 195 lbs., after which St. Amant won the final four matches via a decision by Jacob Gonzales and falls by Tyree Morris, Justin Bowie and Tre Allert.
