| Host Holy Cross
claims sixth Greater New Orleans Championship |

The Holy Cross Tigers crowned eight champions and scored 304.5 points to win
the 2015 Greater New Orleans Championships on January 24th at Holy Cross.
Winning titles for the Tigers were Chris Zea (106), Jeff Argrave (113), Dylan
Soileau (126), Cole Clement (132), George Benoit (152), Preston Robichaux (160),
Brice Duhe (170) and Travis Gardner (285).
Most impressive for the Tigers were Argrave, Clement and Benoit.
Argrave, probably a second-stringer behind Beau Bush, needed a Sudden Victory
period to defeat Logan Griffin of Thomas Jefferson. Griffin was a Division
III finalist in 2014 and state champion in 2013. Clement, also possibly a
second-stringer should Collin Guerra compete at 120 lbs. at the state
championships, defeated Jesuit's Max Grosch who, earlier in the season, posted a
win over Sulphur's Brennan Taylor at the Deep South Bayou Duals, and prior to
that won the Trygg Memorial tournament. Benoit had not met Fontenot yet,
who last week won the Ken Cole Invitational, and the Tiger kept his record
unblemished with as dominant a 3-1 win as possible.
Jesuit had five champions in placing second with 245.5 points. Blue Jay
title winners were Joseph Dupre (120), Jacob Rovira (138), Griffin Mason (145),
Dylan Daboval (182) and Guy Patron, Jr. (195).
The 220 lbs. title went to Chalmette's Avery Cox.
