| Three Louisiana grapplers finish one match short of All-American status |

In the Junior Greco-Roman competition, Guy Patron, Jr., after suffering a first-round defeat, came back to win five more matches, one shy of attaining All-American status. After suffering a concussion in his last Greco-Roman match, Patron, Jr. will very possibly skip the Junior Men's Freestyle event scheduled to start on July 23rd. In the Junior Women's Freestyle competition both Brittany Bates and Abigail Nette posted 3-2 records, one match shy of attaining Al-American Status.
Louisiana wrestlers next compete in the Cadet and Junior freestyle competitions, starting July 22nd through July 25th.
