CHAMPION Nicholas Lirette Senior - Hahnville Defeated Taylor Gambill of Brother Martin 11-5 in the finals This was the third meeting between the Hahnville and Brother Martin wrestlers.  Lirette won in the Trey Culotta finals via a fall.  Gambill came back from a 5-1 deficit on January 13th to win a 7-6 match.  A 2-1 match record for either one would determine the #1 seed at the state championships which now irrefutably belongs to Lirette.

Seeding Ramifications:

Lirette and Gambill will be seeded #1 and #2 at the state championships in February.  Davis Polito of Catholic and Comeaux's Hunter Finch should be third and fourth seeds, and Ehret's Josh Doyle made a case for the #5 spot.

Collin Ballas of Shaw could get a #2 seed in Division II behind Comeaux's Brock Bonin.  Bonin started this tournament but withdrew after winning his first round match.
