Team Competition
In Division III nine of De la Salle's 12 seeded wrestlers are in the top
three spots, which gives the Cavaliers a very good shot at
taking the one step up from the runner-up spot they have earned in the last two
state championships. North Vermillion and South Plaquemines each have 11
wrestlers seeded in the top eight, two of which are seeded first for each team.
Brusly should not be counted out just yet as the Panthers have three #1 seeds,
one #2 and two #3s. But for the Panthers to repeat, they will have to do
it with only 10 wrestlers. Basile is tied with Brusly for the largest
number of #1 seeds with three.
