State Champions Lists

The editor does not assume he knows all of the kids who compete in varsity events during the regular wrestling season, but over the course of a season he surprises more than a few athletes by knowing who they are.  The names of coaches and officials take longer for the editor to remember, but, in his defense, it is all about the kids, right?

This talent does not apply to the off-season!  Kids change weights, appearances and, more importantly, singlets.  Hence, while the editor no doubt knows some of the "And Others..." below, he did not spend a lot of time trying to be sure.   The ones in the index below he has seen over a few years or simply knew about from previous tournament results.  Master Frost is a different case, as he also switched schools (another factor that makes identification more difficult), and he also has twin younger brothers whom the editor will one day have to differentiate. 

Most of these photographs are from the Greco-Roman event, although some late events matches from the freestyle tournament are included.

Jake Rando - One's name on the back of a singlet really helps!  Just a photo of a personal singlet is a new one for the LWN, but as it is the one Mr. Rando will wear next weekend at the Junior World Team Trials in Irving, Texas, an exception may be may.
