Patron-Castro Challenge Match

Young Master Rosevalley, brother of William Rosevalley of the New Orleans Wrestling Club, was not fazed by people screaming for him to tap the official signifying the end of a round in the match of which he was assisting.  He knew full well that he had tapped the official at the end of the last round, and that it was way too early to do so again.  What he knew, and what took a decent amount of time for others to realize, is that the table workers had failed to reset the clock to 2:00 and hence no time was being recorded as the subsequent round's wrestling began.

Patron-Castro Challenge Match

Two soon to be college freshmen decided to partake in an exhibition match on Saturday.  One was Eagle Empire's Alexi Castro.  The other was Jesuit's 2016 Division I state champion Guy Patron, Sr., who was not competing for a specific team.  He could have, as seniors are allowed to participate as long as they do not account for any team points.  Their team takes a forfeit, but it allows the senior as well as the wrestler who otherwise would have accepted a forfeit, a chance to gain some experience.

Patron dominated his opponent early and had built a 6-3 lead when he tried a throw that sent both wrestlers out of bounds.  Unfortunately, as Patron landed he hit his head very hard on the mat, temporarily rendering him unconscious.  Patron disputed the fact that he was unconscious as he did not remember it happening.  Suffice to say, that argument did not "fly" with the onlookers and on-site trainers, and it was decided that Patron should not attempt to wrestle again that day.  Oddly, it was Castro who seemed more out-of-sorts than Patron when he made some statements indicating that he had done the damage to Patron, and related a sentiment (the editor does not remember the actual words) inferring someone needed to read Patron a bedtime story.  Mr. Castro is allowed his opinion, of course, despite that it was deemed ridiculous by those who witnessed what Patron had already done to Castro in a very short time span.
