The emotions incurred during this match must have been excruciating for the Crusader A squad.  First, technically they won eight of the 15 matches, though the contested ones went seven apiece (Steven Shields received a forfeit at 120 lbs.).  If one reviews the match via weight classes from lowest to highest (as they are presented below), it looks like the Crusaders were cruising to a win after scoring 39 unanswered points.  That, though, would be followed by the agony of seeing them lose seven consecutive matches via falls, when just one win would, or two decisions in lieu of falls, would have given them the match.

Actually, as the match started at 152 lbs., the Crusaders got to watch Major Decision rack up seven pins and 42 points before one of the Missouri wrestlers lost a match.  Knowing they had the forfeit in their pocket, the Crusaders might not have realized how costly non-falls would be to them, and had to hold on through the last match to see if their seven straight wins (plus the forfeit) would be enough.

Actually, in a fashion they had to relive their quarterfinals match in which they ran off five pins in six matches to take a 39-36 lead, only to apparently lose 42-39 after submitting to a fall in the last match.  Then, as mentioned previously, word of Eagle Empire's use of an ineligible senior for whom points were counted came to light, and the Crusaders were rightfully recognized as 45-36 winners.  Their reward, of course, was a match with the eventual champion Best Trained team, and then the heartbreaker against Major Decision.
