Louisiana places fifth in U.S. Junior National Duals Greco-Roman pool round |

The Louisiana team at the U.S. Junior National Duals placed fifth out of seven teams in the pool round on Wednesday, June 18th, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The team went 2-2 on the day, defeating teams from North Dakota (Red) and South Dakota. They fell to Georgia and Michigan (Red). To say the least, the competition was ferocious. It is not often that the likes of Alex Duncan, Clayton Hill or Mason Massicot lose more matches than they win.
The fifth-place finish put them in the Red/Blue, or third of four, championship brackets on Thursday. They will face the team from Tennessee first, followed by a match with the Florida team. The results of those matches will determine their position for the 1st-8th placement matches in the Red/Blue bracket.
Individual Dual Meet Results
Georgia 51-Louisiana 17 | Louisiana 45-North Dakota (Red) 27 | Michigan Red 51-Louisiana 17 | Louisiana 39-South Dakota 31 |
