The goal of Wrestle4Hope
is to begin an ambulatory national event designed to promote girls
wrestling at the grassroots K-8 level on a regional and national scale. Assisted by high school and college females acting in mentorship roles as referees, the dream came to fruition in Ohio in 2013 and made its way to Maryland in 2014, California in 2015, Arkansas in 2016, New Mexico in 2017, South Carolina in 2018 and back to California in 2019. As a goodwill event it instills in the competitors a sense of camaraderie through the philanthropic effort of raising money. Since its inception the tournament has raised $9225 to fund Breast Cancer Research. |
