De la Salle's Liam O'Connor, a Division III runner-up in 2022, was the only
state placer in this weight class, and it showed. O'Connor pinned all
three of his opponents, including first period falls in the semifinals and in his
finals match, in 1:02, against Nolan McMichael of St. Louis. Ryan
Buckner of Live Oak placed third with a 3:39 fall over Grant Fritsche of
Catholic.
