This was another weight class in which the best two wrestlers were placed in the same half of the bracket and met each other after first round byes. Ethan Boudreaux is a two-time Division II state champion. Caleb Lavine placed fourth in Division I and won the Warrior open, again, a week before this event. Carson Dalton was the only other 2022 state championships placer, winning sixth in Division II. (Rowan Garrity of Thomas Jefferson placed fourth in Division III, but he had to forfeit his matches for some reason.) Boudreaux controlled every aspect of the match with Lavine, winning 7-2. 1:33 and 1:16 later, he had won his first championship of the season. Lavine showed little mercy after his loss, taking third place via falls in 0:52 and 2:29.
