Sure, Holy Cross sophomore Gunner Guidry is unpredictable, but usually not in two consecutive matches.  After a Round One fall in 0:53, the 2022 Division I 8th seed, who placed sixth, defeated the Division II runner-up and the Division II fifth-place winners to win the tournament.  His semifinals was against Teurlings Catholic's Hunter Sharon, and Guidry prevailed 4-2 in a Sudden Victory period.  He followed that with a 9-3 finals win over Rummel's Cameron Gandolfi.  Sharon came back to win third via a 2:45 fall over St. Thomas More's Finley McGill, who, despite the loss, still has the coolest name in Louisiana high school wrestling.  (That it reminds the editor of a 1959 Sean Connery Disney movie notwithstanding.)
