Champion:
(1) Juan Cantu
Houston Westside
2nd (2) Kaiden Triche Rummel
3rd (5) Blake Andre Shaw
4th (3) Daniel Daspit Teurlings Catholic
5th (4) Ayden Broussard Rayne
6th Colton Stratton Benton

Houston Westside's Juan Cantu was 18-2 entering the Ken Cole with four tournament titles and a runner-up finish.  Rummel's Kaiden Triche also had four tournament wins.  (He should have had five but, well, Alabama.)  He had two runner-up finishes, including at the Louisiana Classic.  But he had six losses and, despite his 35 wins, that was too many to seed him over Cantu.  Both wrestlers breezed into the finals.  Cantu pinned #5 Blake Andre of Shaw in his semifinals match, and Triche beat #3 Daniel Daspit of TC 10-2 MD.  Cantu, though, proved true to his seeding and after giving up a first period takedown, tied the match with a reversal and shutout Triche for the next four minutes to earn a 10-2 MD.

Andre, after defeating #4 Ayden Broussard of Rayne 14-7 in the quarterfinals and losing to Cantu in the semifinals, faced Benton's Colton Stratton in the CSFs.  As things worked out, none of the top eight seeded wrestlers were in the bottom half of the bracket, and it was Stratton who emerged victorious to face Andre in the CSFs.  That did not go too well, nor did the match for fifth-place, but the unseeded Benton sophomore beat the #7 seed and went 4-3 in the event.
