TC's Brennan
Boyer had lost all of three matches to Louisiana wrestlers prior
to the Louisiana Classic.
Only one was in the 126 lbs. LACL bracket, but due to
that kid's losses to others, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera, he
was seeded 10th. He
defeated the #7 seed from Rockwall Heath, Texas 7-2 but fell to
second-seeded Cole Mire of Dutchtown 5-3 in the quarterfinals.
He won his next three matches, though, which included a
10-3 win over #5 Matthew Krail of Holy Cross and placed fourth
to third-seeded Kristian Scott of Catholic. |
East Ascension's sixth-seeded Aiden Krass pinned third seed Bryce Fontenot in the quarterfinals prior to a 7-0 loss to Boyer. Yet those two would meet again in the consolation finals as Fontenot defeated his Sulphur counterpart, Kylan Fontenot, 17-9 MD, and then fourth-seeded Hayden Tassin of Shaw in 2:42 in their CSF. Meanwhile, Krass defeated Pollex Coleman of Sam Houston 11-4 in the other CSF. Krass prevailed again, though, winning third-place via a 10-4 score. Coleman took fifth via a medical forfeit by Tassin.
