LHSAA State Wrestling Tournament |
Division III - 113 Pounds |

The last De la Salle wrestler to win two state championships was Alex Martin, who actually won three Division III championships from 2012-2014. Go back 30 years for a two-time Cavalier state champion, and you will find Stephen Gibbons, who won Division I titles in 1981 and 1982.
Dylan Duvernay joined that group this season, and has a chance to match Martin's three-peat next season. This season Duvernay won the Lakeshore Open, the Bulldog Brawl, the Trey Culotta and the Jimmy Vidrine Division III. He placed second at the Warrior Open and the Trygg Memorial. His losses came from Logan Olsen of Airline (D1 4th, Landon Smith of Holy Cross (D1 3rd) and Kaiden Triche of Rummel (D2 1st).
Second-seeded Blake Andre of Shaw placed third at the Tiger Invitational and the Ken Cole. Andre placed third in Division II in 2022, so he is working his way up the podium just fine.
In the finals Duvernay opened with a 4-1 first period, and allowed another Andre point in the second two-minutes. He owned the third round, though, 7-1 for an 11-3 Major Decision.
