The carnage on The Undefeated list was evident, but not prolific. No undefeated girls fell last weekend. Three ladies did not compete, but Oak Grove's Elizabeth Townsend was added to the list, now with 14 ladies on it.

On the boys' side, four previously undefeated wrestlers got their first taste, or smell, of defeat.

Smelling "defeet" for the first time this season at the Zachary Big Horse was Holy Cross' Rylee Reeves, losing via a fall to East Ascension's Braylon Stewart. A match earlier Reeves had defeated Baton Rouge's Brody Cohen via a fall in 3:56, ruining Cohen's perfect record. Also losing for the first time at the Big Horse was Walker's Chris Godso, III. Godso fell to Aiden Anderson of Baton Rouge, whom Godso had previously beaten 2-1 and 4-1. Teurlings Catholic's Carter Macha does not have enough wins to make this list just yet, but he did knock off Jules Deshotels of St. Thomas More 10-9 in the Jacob McMillan finals. |
One match to take note of last weekend was Fontainebleau's Braden Sellars defeating two-time defending Division I state champion Scott Cascio of Brother Martin, by a 17-12 decision in the finals of the Zachary Big Horse. Sellars' only loss this season came from Jesuit's 2025 Division runner-up Max Belsome in the Warrior Open finals, 6-2 Down 3-0 after the first period, Sellers opened up a big can of whoop-ass in the second period, scoring three four-point nearfalls and one three-point nearfall, to take a commanding 15-3 lead. Cascio scored three takedowns in the third period, but Sellers escaped twice, resulting in the 17-12 final score. This was, however, only Cascio's second event of the year, giving him a 6-1 record. Sellers, however, is 34-1, with victories at the Lion Takedown, Walker Invitational, the Bulldog Brawl, the Spartan Classic and the Trygg/Sara Memorial.
