About one-third of the 2025-26 wrestling season is about over, football season is almost over, and tournaments will soon be separating the wheat from the chaff, albeit not with the Biblical meaning, which says the "chaff" are worthless. But soon the better wrestlers will start to meet, and someone has to fall in all matches contended. When that happens a lot of wrestlers will not find their names on the prep sports websites or in the newspapers (remember those?). So, with the help of Rank Wrestlers and TrackWrestling, I have come up with a list of

It is my list, and thus I set the rules for inclusion. Usually when listing records I do not include forfeits or byes. That is a lot of tedious work that my eyes can only do so many times during the season. So forfeits and byes are included in these records. To make the list one needs to have 10 matches under one's belt, unless I decide differently. I do not count losses to out-of-state wrestlers, although I do count wins against them. For the sake of decency, I do not count losses to Alex Rozas of Teurlings Catholic. Rozas has not lost a match against a Louisiana opponent in the last three years, and I do not expect him to lose in his senior season. On the ladies side, I do not count losses to Mikayla Byington of St. Amant. No doubt I will miss some wrestlers, but, well, these eyes are not 62 51/52nds anymore.

* Nine wins is fine for me in this case. Miss Hutto is a formidable young lady and I dare not get on her "bad side."

* Mesloh's only loss was to Preece. Preece's only loss was to Mesloh. Those losses cancel each other out, à la algebra and solving polynomials!
