Finalists: Baret Sanchez (Brusly) vs. Richie
McClanahan (Arnold)
| McClanahan dominated the
match early, taking down Sanchez and controlling him with a relentless
cross-body ride. By the start of the third period he owned a 4-1
lead over his Brusly opponent. But then Sanchez seemed to catch a
"second wind" and taking over the match. He was able to reverse
McClanahan but not quite able to put the Arnold wrestler on his back.
Sanchez decided to let McClanahan escape so that another takedown would
tie the Arnold wrestler, but the strategy came too late in the match,
and McClanahan held on to a 5-3 win. |
