Looking for a tournament in January - [insert unverified Horace Greeley quote here]. 

Former Sulphur wrestler Lewis J. Dutel, a teammate of Sulphur coach Jean-Paul Duhon, and now South Texas USA-Wrestling At-large representative, has forwarded information about a slew of January, 2015, wrestling events in the Spring and Katy, Texas areas (outside of Houston) for Louisiana teams to consider attending. 

Over the last few years we have made an effort to bring more and more Houston area youth wrestlers to participate in your Louisiana tournaments.  A fair number of us grew up in Louisiana (I’m from Sulphur and my wife Gina is from Metairie) and we really enjoy getting back home to wrestle.

I went to high school at Sulphur High with Jean Paul Duhon and he has always made a big effort to help us out.  I am now the At-large member for the South Texas Region and therefore responsible for all the tournaments in our region including Houston Nationals.  Last year Houston Nationals, Novice State, Bayou City Duals, etc., brought in about 1200 kids to wrestle.  

My goal is to get a good list of Louisiana coaches so that I can distribute our tournament info to them so they can in turn distribute to their teams.  We started wrestling back in October but we have a few tournaments coming up that would possibly be good preparation for you guys, as well as the Houston Nationals, Cotton Bowl Nationals and Heart of Texas Nationals.
