Finals

Joey Foret (Holy Cross) defeated Brock Bonin (Teurlings Catholic) 8-2
After a scoreless first period Foret scored a quick escape and the two battled on their feet for the majority of the second period.  With 15 seconds remaining, however, Foret scored the match's first takedown with a diving ankle shot he secured for the two points.  At the beginning of the third period Bonin hipped-over a Foret cross-body ride to score a reversal, but those were the only points he would earn.  Near the end of the match Bonin rode high trying to turn Foret, and the Holy Cross sophomore popped out from under Bonin and caught a head and an arm to put the Teurlings Catholic wrestler on his back for three nearfall points to seal the win.

Seeding Implications: This weight class is wide open as tournaments have been won by Airline's Scott Prouty, Catholic's Mitch Vidrine, Brother Martin's Blaine Eisensohn and Holy Cross's Joey Foret (twice).  Foret gets the early nod for his win over the two-time Division II state champion Bonin, who despite this loss will probably garner the second position.
